The former synth-pop act Soft Cell frontman is also well established as an internationally acclaimed and successful solo artist. He has sold over 30 million records worldwide and is an icon and influence to a generation of musicians.

Starting his music career in 1978, he formed Soft Cell, with whom he released five albums. The band are well known the single Tainted Love, which reached #1 in the UK Singles Chart, alongside Bedsitter, Say Hello, Wave Goodbye, Torch, and What!, which were all Top Ten hits.

Almond launched his solo career in 1984 with the album, ‘Vermin in Ermine’ and has released over 20 solo albums in his career, with the latest being 2020's 'Chaos And A Dancing Star'.
